Close Varsha Sahaal - 2006 - Bekare Falls JSS had arranged a Monsoon Hike to Bekare Falls near Bhivpuri-Karjat on Sunday,16th July 2006.There were 95 participants in the program & we had arranged 2 special buses for taking the participants to the base village. The Bekare village is hardly 10 kms from Bhivpuri stn,on the Central line & from this village an easy trek of about 30 mts takes you to the Gigantic waterfall gushing down the slope of a small hillock in 3 stages.This site is at the foothills of the Garbet point on Matheran.Panorama point of Matheran can also be located clearly in the background.On the right side of the water fall seen is the plateau of Jummapatti -one of the railway stations on Neral-Matheran railhead.In the afternoon we paid a visit to a Vriddhashram near Badalapur run by a private institution for the aged.Our own band of artists presented a musical-entertainment for the members of the vriddhashram.The program included various songs & poems based on the "Monsoon Theme-Varsha Gaan". This 45 mts program was conceived by Milind Karmarkar. He himself with Anagha Panditrao, Anandi Joshi , Milind Paranjpe , Ashwin Paranjpe , Rupak Lele & Vijay Joshi performed during the program.Shradhha Paranjpe was the anchor for the program. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
